interactive website

As I said before I would like to see an interactive website that involves everything, from A to Z.
From repairing the car, to the house, to our computer world. I would like to see a website helping in designing a house, helping in art, in painting, in music, a website that educate the kids, a website that involves parents, kids, and schooling. I would like to see a website that connects the international community where kids can see how other kids are living, where they can play together, learn and teach one another. A website that can connects the dots in learning languages.
I would like to see website that connects governments and it is people ( for real ), where people can watch, and interact in decision making, where government cannot take advantage of it is people.
I would like to see schools all over the world connected on a daily basis where kids can learn, laugh, and teachers as well can learn from one another.
The same goes for everything else, how about a doctor saving a precious life from across the oceans.
And best one of all which will never happen, is a website connecting the people for peace cause.

Jquery

Ok so you want to know about my experience doing the Jquery.
It is pretty exciting; it is really cool how things are done. At first everything was normal, play the video clip watch it etc… then I got ready to do the homework, everything was pretty cool until I got to the point where I had to write background, url, etc….here it took me about two and a half hour to be able to figure out that it was a comma not a period . The video was not that clear to be able to distinguish the difference between the comma and the period. It was very frustrating to just sit there and second by second rewind and rewind the clip. I am in another class called multimedia the professor uses software called camtasia, it clear, it is like the recording is done in a recording studio.
I hope I don't sound too upset, I am not but I think it is a good idea to have feedback.

interactive Web site

I would like to see a bully proof kids website where the a software blocks bad language. Also, a link that tells the parents what their child is doing on it. And the website creators also allow the kids to edit, add, delete the design of the website,it is a website for the kids by the kids basically.
i also would like for authenticity that the website is link to the school where the kids attend. i would like from them to use high security to make sure the user is who he/she claim to be. The user would have to use the school ID, create a password, and also come up with a way to only the kid himself from his own IP address is using the website.i would like them to use a biometric system for authentication, such as camera looking into the eye of the user to determine whether or not to allow the use of the site.
there lots and lots of predators out there, they are watching so we should be ahead of them with this site.

interactive Web application

i thought my interactive application practice was fairly easy and straight forward.its really cool how everything once put together work. i am taking C programing , i dont like it, its not a forgiving language like the instructor thinks. i just got brief introduction to java, i think this language is much easier. it helped that we did a lot of copy and paste, this sure wasn't the case early in the semester.the professor is accurate, but he's really fast.A five minute video takes a half hour to view, and review.i guess that's what you call learning.
In the end it was good, i learned, and it is no problem if once in a while we students get a break. speaking of breaks i cannot wait til the winter break.
good luck to however reads this blog.

about blogging

i wanna blog about blogging i am really not into this but i have to do it this semester. i cannot wait til i dont have to do it every week. i dont like to go on facebook that much. it got old after a while, i am not a big fan of telling everyone out there when i am going to gym or how i am feeling etc.... but on the other i works great with my friends and family from overseas. plenty of them out there i stay in touch with, i see their latest pics, their kids, its amazing. but again not to over do it. also i wanna mention that i am taking a class pain in every where called intro to programming in C. its killing i ll be happy if i come out of it alive. with a C.
how funny C for C.
LOL to you all

feedback and HTML form

OK so i learned a lot from this class and still learning. but Mozilla kicked my behind this week because it wouldn't let me read my ceweb etc..... on the ftp server. however doing the form, and getting the feed back was not bad at all.but connecting the dots took two days from precious working / studying days. come to find out i didn't have the latest version so i installed finally 4.0 version and it worked.my classmates i wanna thank you for putting with me for asking you to go to my website and rate it,etc....plenty of you went there with different results. but the result was great that lots of you went there and tried to give me the feed back.i thank you each and everyone of you guys.

facebook??????????????????????

Facebook, facebook, facebook, what did we do before facebook. This is another example of too much is just too much. People can do whatever they want and wish to do. I was really always worried about facebook’s applications. I never could the thrill of it. First of all I didn’t have the time, second I just got too boring. I didn’t want to read anymore about this one going to the gym, this one going to feed the cat, ah wait this one is made at the cat, etc……. and the list went on and on.
I use facebook but I use facebook to share some stories, once in a blue moon I comment. I use it to share pictures with my friends from all over the world not in the next town.
I have a brother in CA I check out his kids pics, I keep up with my cousins in Australia, Costa Rica, I haven’t seen these cousins in 24 years.
But again, who am I to say anything, except that I feel that Uncle Sam loves facebook. He’s watching us while sleeping; he’s watching us when we go to the gym, or to get an oil change….etc….
My friends, enough is enough………….lets have some privacy and enjoy without blogging, texting, or talking on the phone……..let's try to free ourselves once a week.

another wonderful blog by moi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hello, i wanted to talk to you my dear followers and classmates about my latest adventure in blogging, and creating another website, that i connected to my index. i have to say that it got easier keeping up with this class. at the beginning it was confusing, didn't know what i was supposed to do, the professor's lecture seemed and sounded very fast, i was really getting annoyed.the professor was really cool, he answered every time i called, he knew how to help every time.
i learned lots of stuff in this class, i am glad i took it.
the latest adventure is creating a form from scratch so my classmates can go visit my form,my pictures, videos, etc....and rate my work. i have to tell you that you guys decorated your websites and made it really pretty. i wish i had the time to go beyond the technicality but with three other classes!!!!i really didn't have time.
well that is it for now.good luck and until next time.

gimp2 web application

hello, i actually tried this application for my class, its easy to use, friendly, and the best part its free. i played with it for the first time couple of weeks ago doing a homework, not bad. you should check it out guys. i am writing about this app, not only because the prof wrote about it but also because i used it. it allows you to draw, paint, it has many options to play around with.
click here to check it out

idea on a web application

my simple web application would be based on google model, not too confusing, but rather simple. it should be listed in alphabetical order. when i ask for one web application i don't want be diverted to another one. i would like it to be based on question answered when asked rather than posting FAQ, hardly i can find what i am looking for in that. Also i like to see pictures with my answers.

your planet

Since I love traveling and actually wanted to travel in the future in a different way. I don’t want to go to a resort for 7 to 10 days etc.... or cruise etc..... I really want to see our beautiful planet. I mean think about it. It’s so beautiful, with millions of different places, rivers, lakes, mountains, etc......this website that I checked will be helpful in my traveling. I wanted to go month on end, blend with the locals, work even for my traveling expenses while I am there (I am really broke), but this web site offers a different kind of helpful finances. You guys should check it out if you like to travel the same way.To Check it out click here.
We come once to this place, to this planet we call earth, but if you look at from an alien point of view it is our home, we should be able to go whenever, wherever we choose. We should not be dictated by visas, rules, regulations; but this only a dream therefore we should seek out the beautiful the bad and the ugly and see our home entirely. I hope and wish to all of you the best in whatever you like to do, traveling, sitting in front of the TV watching 160 baseball games, playing card, etc……

Obesity and its hefty tag and its not money, its ouor future

The obesity problem in the U.S is controllable; however the fruits are some 10 to 20 years Away.
The problem is on the rise and the worst part about it that it is ongoing problem. Unlike lots of studies suggest that the employer should do this, and do that; the problem starts at home. The problem starts when you tell your child or the lack of telling your child NO.
We as parents have to stay the course and not give in to the winning and crying and nagging of our children. I got divorced back in 2008, I used to pick up my kids (heartbroken ) every week end . Every time I picked them up, they would ask me to take them to MCcrap , McDonalds. Every time I would say to them next week. This went on for two years. Two years later my daughter said to me:”I guess you not taking to MCdonalds after all”. I said you are 100% correct, and I won’t either, not now not any time in the near or far future.
I also have a small convenient store, I don't have soda in my house, I don't drink it, I don't allow it. My kids drink maybe twice soda per year. Around couple BBQs, and maybe when I take them to see my dad.
My dear friends we have to do it, it all starts in the house.

the business of war and the politics

Business of war
This blog is about the business of war. Like somebody said before that the big dig in Boston will finish when the money runs out, and like somebody before used to tell her clients “ it is business doing pleasure with you”, I tell you my dear followers that money, banking, insurance, executives in their offices watching their accounts growing , and war sleep in the same bed.
“It is never a general who starts the war, it is executives in their offices watching their accounts growing”, I read that and nobody put it better than that, or can convince me otherwise.
It is sad but it is true, what a shame, how rude, how horrible all these wars, all these innocent people, families torn apart, women getting raped, husbands losing their spouses and vice verse.
Christmas cards that read: “peace on earth “, I laugh and cry at the same time. It is probably made by the same factories. Owned and operated under the same president. Do the names Halliburton and dick Cheney ring a bell? The list goes on and on, innocent people will keep paying the ultimate price, the ultimate gift, the gift of life of course, the gift of joy, of smile, of giving, of receiving. The list goes on and on.
It is sad, but it is true.

the internet and the media

I couldn’t tell you how happy I am to have the internet acting as check and balance. For the longest time the media was and to some degree still controlled by a government. You could never trust what you read. People buy two different papers just so they can read between the lines.
People changed their minds on a story three times a week, just because every day the media told a different story, and we had no control over it. It reminded me of George Orwell’s book 1984. People went to work actually to war didn’t know who they were fighting that particular morning.
I like how these days anyone with a cell phone, with a digital camera can really report the truth from anywhere in the world at almost the time of the incident.
I like it because that means the public have more weapons, more support, more knowledge, if we have more knowledge we are more powerful against the giant media.
We became more powerful against propaganda, against manipulation by government agencies, against big giant businesses, who take advantages of the normal public sitting in their houses glued to the TV, or the radios.
For instance I cannot understand why when we, here in the north east, have to be scared from the media when about to experience a snow storm. I mean come on people you don't need to get sooooooooooo scared and go shopping as if you are going to be locked up in your house for a month. I mean who doesn’t have food in his/her house that wouldn’t last at least two to three weeks. Of course I don’t mean fresh veggies, or fresh milk, bread, but BIG deal they probably have tons of canned food, pasta, etc…..they can survive the whole month without leaving the house.
I mean come on media, go home, pack it you had your time, now it is time to get your high horse, and put down the crown.

our earth

i love our earth, why cannot I enjoy it, see it in full, without these monsters tell me where i can and cannot go. i belong here, this is my home.i shouldn't need to have to have a visa and to get a permission to go everywhere. i am only visiting once, i want to see it all.

tending bar

Hello,
I tend bar at the Middle East in Cambridge. This message is intended for the people who don't follow bar rules very well.
First of all have your ID, your money and be ready to order. I cannot stand the people who wave to you from across the other end of the bar and when you get there they keep talking to their friends, girlfriend, whomever while the bartender waits. I won’t do that, I don't have the patience to wait; this is just plain rude, not mention I am losing money. If I ask for your ID, don’t roll your eyes I ignore you next time.
Don't shout, don't call me hey, and don’t call me yo. Don't slam the bar with your fist. You have to worry about only getting your drink, I , on the other hand I have to worry about, you, your drink, the guy next to you, the girl on the other side, the person who might be getting three beers and two shots within 45 minutes(that’s a no no,) I won’t allow that either.
You see my friends I have to worry about you getting little too many, how do you think I would feel if god forbids something happens to you. Its not always about the money. Behave don't swear, and oh yeah give me a big fat tip you will get the best service.
I will leave you with what my friend told me about bartending. He knew all about it before I knew how to pour a beer.
Jean he said: it is not about making a drink, it is about making a drink while watching the drunken ship, while keeping an eye, two, three, all of them all the time on the all the people screaming at you for the drink.
Enjoy, drink smart, and tip well.

where we going???????????????

ok, so whats up with this economy? really i am fed up with working two jobs for the past 6 years to barely hang in there. My father worked really hard in his days, but he only worked one job, built a 4 story house, paid cash for it. OK maybe we didn't have all the gadgets available to us these days, but we didn't need them and we made it alright.
these days almost everyone i know has to have two jobs or else. is this pathetic or what?
the lousy globe paper doubled in price just in 6 or 7 years, maybe less, the electric bill, the insurance, the city taxes, and the list goes on and on, i dont believe anybody's pay doubled just like the above mentioned expenses.
the book : the world is flat by thomas friedman , should be called instead the world is tilted to the east, and folded on us.
please share your thoughts with me.
jean

the internet and its effect.

the scale in the court room says it all. nothing is black and white. the internet did it both ways for me,my friends, and family.
first of all i don't just become friend with someone just because they are friends with someone i know.
i left Lebanon when i was a kid. i don't see my friends, and my relatives as often as i would like to as you might imagine. The internet helps me see my young cousins, where they went to school, what they look like, where they live, etc...it also helped in keeping the cost way down. 24 years ago i used to talk to my family for 10 minutes every three months, because we used to pay AT&T $3 to $4 a minute. these days, i get to read the newspaper, watch TV,talk to my friends all over the world, do my school work, read books, pay my bills online etc..... and the cost ,not a dime over the price of the connection.
i like it, i will not use it in substitution to picking up the phone and calling someone wishing them a happy birthday, or simply to tell them you love them, miss them.
i will vote for the internet everyday of the week.

the burning man

i would like to share with you my experience at the burning man.when i first heard about the burning man, it was about three years ago. Mike, my friend, kept telling me about it.he pushed me, and pushed me to go with him to live the experience of the burning man.
the burning man is a place for participants dedicated to art, community, music, self expression and self reliance. the burning man isn't just a place where a person will attend like a concert, people who attends the burning man are intellectuals, participants, volunteers and who inspire others.the key at the burning man is finding yourself. are you artist, a participant, are you there for a spiritual reason, or simply to socialize.the burning man offers the following: energy like no other place on the planet,a force surrounding you, its an experience like no other, and basically you feel as if you are on a different planet. at the end of the journey, one ask him/herself what did i take with me when i left. i dont mean things, or material stuff, i mean what effect might leave on you when the exodus occurs. are you a better person, will you go and give back to the community of the burning man,????????????

i will post this article on my blog, if you guys have any questions or comments i ll be happy to discuss with you.
thank you
jean

learning more every day

hello there, i hope you ll enjoy reading what i just posted. i just told you about my favorite sites that i like to go to, also i just told you about one of my favorite places to go and chill for the day,i hope you like them.
jean

adding images to a blog post

i like this place a lot.its far but not too far, easy to get to,and very very relaxing.once i didnt want to go to the beach , instead i thought what might i like and said i just want some running water, not too steep, or scary for the kids, and then i looked and i asked people about such a place. i was referred by most of them to Diana's bath in New Hampshire.

economy and favorite websites.

i would like to express briefly my opinion about the economy.i am not a democrat nor a republican. everybody is all over this administration regarding how bad the economy is.
it was inherited. also they need to look at a sign in Trenton NJ that says:
Trenton makes , people take.
my friends that says it all.America needs to make things and the rest of the world will take from us.
the corporate greed will never allow this to happen, they will not bring factories and companies back here.
jean.
now to talk about another subject. i like the following web sites.
music of lebanon.com,i like it because it has some of the old school classics, Egyptian,Lebanese,Syrian,etc...  the Naharnet.com , it seems that this news paper is less corrupt than the others.also i like bostoncentral.com, to stay connected to fun for all in and around the Boston area.

links to other sites

hello, as  first time blogger, and a student i am creating links to other sites of interest.
click here to to my neighbor's blog.
also i am learning how to create hyperlinks for the first time. i am learning that at annunziato.org.http://annunziato.org/moodle

internet experience

i am ok using the net, i am just a user, i wanna learn more about it. i do some online banking,i have booked  trips in the past, hotels,  i have done some purchases. i have never done blogging, i am glad i am doing it now.
jean

topics that interest me.

i am pretty much open to lots and lots of things.  i like to know about great books, live music, places to visit and to experience. i am no longer crazy about traveling to just sit in a resort 7 days a week, i wanna blend in with the locals.  i went to Hawaii, i thought it was over rated. i would much rather go to a no name place , beach or mountain, no difference, and just mingle with the people.so if you can write about topics that i mentioned i would appreciate it.
thank you
jean

school/this class

i am hoping to learn more than just using the internet as we know it. since i will be taking my master in IT. no matter what l do , no matter if i miss a thing or two in this class, i know i will leave this class learning, and having more knowledge about this internet than before.
good luck class
jean
